LJS VISIT DALLAS: MRO AMERICAS 2022

Managing Director Charlotte Waters and Business Development Manager, Joe Ferrett, attend MRO Americas 2022.

Situated in North Texas, this year’s sold-out show took place in Dallas; with over 800 solution providers, it was set to be a busy one!

What is MRO Americas?

MRO Americas is the premier event for the commercial air transport maintenance, repair, and overhaul industry, designed for you by thought leaders and innovators from the leading and trusted brand in the aviation/aerospace industry – Aviation Week. MRO Americas provides a world-class venue for all those involved in the MRO sector to exchange ideas and best practices, share experiences, debate issues and challenges and gather knowledge.

The Journey

On April 25th, Charlotte and Joe took to the skies and embarked on the 10-hour journey from Gatwick to Dallas: after a few power naps and some in-flight films, the LJS duo arrived in Dallas. Greeted by the warm weather, a nice change to our everchanging UK climate, preparations began for the exhibition: a visit to a local burger restaurant was also in order!

The Event

Upon arrival, Charlotte and Joe were amazed not only by the number of exhibitors but also by the masses that came to support. With so many creative, engaging, and breathtaking stands it was clear that MRO Americas was back to its full force. From making new friends to seeing old ones, the event truly captured the positivity that surrounds our industry! An excellent event and a big thank you to all those involved for setting it up!

This year’s event started on April 26th and finished on the 28th; however, with so many exhibitors you could have easily spent a few extra days there!

My Experience: Joe Ferrett

MRO Americas 2022 was an incredible experience. It was my first time attending this event, and I was blown away by the size of it. The atmosphere was electric, you could hear the buzz from the exhibition hall as you walked through the conference centre, and the closer you got to the doors, the more you could feel the excitement in the air. The last two years have been so incredibly tough for all of us in Aviation, so it was a breath of fresh air to be in an environment that just oozed positive vibes. Everywhere you looked, there would be something to catch your eye, it really was an Aviation festival, with smiles from all the happy faces decorating the room.
We had some excellent discussions, and it was a pleasure to meet new people in the industry, as well as re-connect with old friends including those that I haven’t seen in so long. Thank you to all our customers that met with us, the friends who joined us in the evenings for dinner, and also the companies that hosted the networking events in the evenings. It was an absolute blast, and we look forward to continuing with the good vibes in 2022.
