PLAY have upped their aviation game and announced two brand new aircraft bringing their fleet total to eight.
The low-cost Icelandic airline, have a fleet of Airbus A320neo aircraft which operate flights between the US & EU with Iceland as a Hub.
Their seventh aircraft announced a couple of weeks ago was their first aircraft to be customised by PLAY and has several exciting features for people to enjoy. Passengers onboard can expect LED customised lights in the cabin, new lightweight Recaro 3710 Swift seats with extra comfort package, USB A and C in seat power, tablet/phone holders in each seat, space flex cabin to allow more legroom and red seatbelts to match their classic logo colours which we all know and love. People can also expect these features on their recent A320neo which was announced a few days ago. Early next year PLAY will also be revealing two more new aircraft so keep an eye out for those.

We could be seeing this 180 – seater aircraft in the skies serving their two newly announced destinations, Hamburg and Stockholm (Arlanda Airport). Ticket sales have been launched and flights to Stockholm will begin on March 31, 2023, and to Hamburg on May 16, 2023. These are seasonal destinations which will end October 2023. Make sure to look out for the two new aircraft, you won’t want to miss them.
Their two new destinations are cities you will love to see. Hamburg, which some consider to be one of the coolest cities in the world, offers a diverse cultural experience which lets visitors immerse themselves in a musical wonderland of theatre, musicals and live music. Memorable architecture and a vibrant nightlife will give tourists even more of a reason to visit. Stockholm, a vibrant and contemporary capital city, gives visitors an opportunity to experience music, fashion, design and technology. Along with an urban feel and history to discover, you really have the opportunity to explore it all.
